"Can I see your junk?" is a popular way of asking a shopkeeper if you may look at their junk. If they say yes, they still might not want you touching their junk; some shopkeepers are more libertarian, and their junk is for the people; these are the kind you want. If on a ship, be careful not to sink the junk.
