Im in favour of abolishing all awards in favour of more abstract ideas, Illogicopedia isnt a competition, its a community project. Digest.--Silent Penguin 21:08, 14 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)

2 x 6 - minus 8. --Sir Asema Politics Complaint Inbox or Outbox

I could care less either way about awards. I don't vote in them and um, don't really care. I think we should have silly "award-like" templates though. :) --Nerd42eMailTalkUnMetaWPediah2g2 21:29, 14 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)

I don't think abolishing them would be a good idea. Ben Blade 21:33, 14 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)

Abolish them. They just make some people jealous. If we want to have some kind of awards keep them fun and make sure everyone eventually can earn them. --Ryan ~ U T C ~ 23:04, 14 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)

Heh, I see the awards as a bit of fun and have never really taken them that seriously. That's why we don't have other awards such as 'Illogicopedian of the month' and 'noob of the month' and all that Uncycloped-y type stuff. For that reason, I want to keep the WOTM comp even if all others (Er, what others?) are abolished. -- Hindleyak  Converse?blogClick here! 10:46, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)
My rambling text was cut short by an edit conflict so here goes:
  • Keep feature but make nominations fairer
  • Abolish WOTM -it's dead
  • Keep the pickle
  • Screw the rest
  • Have more community-based awards --Testostereich(ballsack) 11:23, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)

We don't need to abolish those two awards.--Ryan ~ U T C ~ 22:10, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)--Ryan ~ U T C ~ 22:10, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)--Ryan ~ U T C ~ 22:10, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)--Ryan ~ U T C ~ 22:10, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)--Ryan ~ U T C ~ 22:10, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)--Ryan ~ U T C ~ 22:10, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)--Ryan ~ U T C ~ 22:10, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)--Ryan ~ U T C ~ 22:10, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)--Ryan ~ U T C ~ 22:10, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)

Testostereich, i hadn't even considered getting rid of the pickle, and the feature cus those are about the only parts of the department of limelight which actually work. If anyone can think of anything else to go in the "community based awards" idea, but WotM is just a popularity contest at the moment and some people treat it as some sort of status symbol, which they shouldn't.--Silent Penguin 14:26, 15 Jeremy 2008 (UTC)
