Forum:So I tried to do a thing, and it didn't work

From Illogicopedia

First I created this page: Template:The Evil Template

Which I'm proud of. I like the concept and all. There's just one problem: it doesn't actually work. (I guess its evil plan has been foiled, huh?)

So then I created this: A page which, sadly, has been assimilated by The Evil Template

And I'm glad I did, because that's how I discovered The Evil Template's lack of actual function. Is there a way that I can make The Evil Template actually make the pages it's transcluded in redirect to it like it's supposed to? Or have I run up against an inherent limitation of Illogicopedia's current software? Because right now, The Evil Template is all bark and no bite.

I think it's a limitation of the software. Redirects don't work if the page in which the redirect is placed has text other than it (not counting categories), so it must be standalone to work. XY007 (talk - contribs - business) 03:01, 21 Yoon 2017 (UTC)

It sort of reminds me of a vandal we had once who basically just added templates into every article. Only, this is actually beneficial for the wiki. XY007 (talk - contribs - business) 02:10, 22 Yoon 2017 (UTC)
