An owl status (OS), commonly measured in Hoots (H), or a strigine quotient (SQ) is a universal measuring system for quantifying exactly how much of an owl something is.

The Hoots system (on the left of the table) is generally used in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, while the SQ system (right) is more common in Britain, the United Kingdom, England, London, Buckingham Palace, and every single place in the observable universe.
