I think I may be entirely the wrong person to ask... every community I have ever been in seems to have fallen apart and/or exploded. Some of them weren't even my fault, too. The fact that this one seems to have already been doing so before I cam, and that I can subsequently deny all responsibility, however, is a complete coincidence and definitely not the reason I am here. Really.

Neither, at this point. At least, it does not render thus for me. Perhaps it fades into normal as a user ages, a realisation of the idea of going mad - the more mad one gets, the less mad the madness seems, and thus here, too, the longer one stays, the more the links fade to typical mediawiki standards. I suspect I am reading too much into things again, but regardless of what an ultimately useless feature it'd be and regardless of other logical naysayings, is rather nice to believe the case is something so poetical. And after all, what proper madman allows logic to stand in his way?

Eh, read this. Then picture two mad dreamers thumping the underside of a bridge, saying, graw! This is our bridge! and talking about Emily and watching a sixteen-year old girl run past, chased by a hoard of slathering hams. One says, this is an odd Dream. The other, sweet Nightmares are the best and then the sky falls around and the fire is soft, flickery, and alive. We are, of course, quite insane. That, or the world is quite insane, but either way, it comes out to be yet another memory, a dream, one in which we travel ever further in this strange little exploration game of life, and find so many more little dreams, putting them all into one vast landscape of Nightmare.

That make any sense? If it does, you might want to be concerned... or not. I wouldn't be. I rather like this sweet delirium.

Aaaanyway, if I was getting to a point, it may have been that sometimes I forget how to dream, and how to be properly mad, and all thoughts of the asylum from the mad, mad world fade. The world sort of kills me, in a way. Then your madness reminds me what it is to dream, and for a little while, sometimes, when I read it, I am home.

And as the Madness so helpfully informs me, There is no home but for heartbreak. Good to know about the panoramas; I won't feel I missed much, then. I agree with you that it's the words that are most important. I watched a great program about time this morning, and they covered the idea that the deeper reality is causality, which makes us experience a flow of time. Space, it seems, arises out of this deeper reality, but it is an illusion. The pills are colored because that's how Matrix was written. You're talking about relativistic speeds, here. I've never really had any mod troubble, and no, I wasn't around for the Anti-Mods thing, though I think I've heard rumors (unless that's just forged memories). There was this one forum where the mods were rather dreadful, but I was even more young and innocent back then and didn't attract their ire. There was also a really small forum where one of the mods entered into war with the other mods, which was quite fun when it wasn't too annoying. Once again, though, I was the nice gal - called upon to solve disputes or crack randomness down on their heads when they needed to be thought a silly lesson. I'm more of a pirate now, though - perhaps this place shall be different. Or Uncyc, if I go there. Time will show.

I'm sure we could've jedified the cookies if we really wanted to... More likely to just eat them, though. The ribbon was nasty. If we were to jedify the cookies and darthify the ribbon, we'd probably have doomed the galaxy.

I do love my Daydreams and Nightmares. The old one was nice for as long as it lasted, and the current one is rather glorious. I do hope this one can prove equally entertaining. This is hard to explain... basically, make a signature template in your userpace, say, User:Ellemerr/sig, put whatever you want to be your signature there, using images, html, css, etc, though within reason and closing all of your tags and whatnot, and linking back to your userpage in some fashion (the one I'm using is here, for an example)... and then you... do stuff. In your preferences, there's a section for your signature - you found that, right? Paste what you pasted here, aye, {{ things and all (though not the <no wiki>s, since those are just so it'll show here, which you probably figured out) into that and make sure the 'Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)' box is checked, then save. It should show up on there after that, and if it looks wrong, just put it back how it was, or something. Colonel Sanders, I do not know if you have a history with someone of that name, but that user has done nothing wrong that I can tell, does not seem to be a destructive troll, vandal, arse or other sort that would generally merit banning, just someone with strange taste in names and subjects whom you've gone out of your way to attack and alienate. I am certainly not banning it over so vague and coincidental evidence as that, however the both of you seem to have already done a good job of driving the fellow away without admin assistance.

As for the IP, it may or may not be related, but without any evidence or reason from the account to care, what does it matter if it even is? Plenty of folks contribute madness; if they can behave in the meantime, it doesn't really matter who they are, now does it? ~ 21:17, 31 Ditzimber 2010

My apologies. It just seemed obvious that Master Troll, the username, lulz, 4chan, and Berty's attack on ED meant that that IP, this user, and all the chaos meant an ED troll. It just made sense to me. Now, I will have to be less harsh in such measures. But, if this user was to be truly an ED troll, then what we did may have been valid. But without concrete evidence, we shouldn't have done so. I will never do such a thing without concrete evidence, and hope Mr. Berty will do the same. The patterns a paranoid mind will make do not always mirror reality. Sometimes they lead us to things that we otherwise would not find, but it tends to work better if you wait and see first, aye. Give people a chance; some things are coincidences, and some things aren't... and sometimes, even when they aren't, it doesn't matter, so no, it would not necessarily have been valid even if it had been/was an ED troll - sometimes people put on masks and walk into a realm to do something to it, only to realise that they like the realm, or like the mask, and everything changes along the way.
