Mwell... it all started on Uncyclopedia... Gomphog was basically a pain in the bum. He did various things, created a bunch of socks, etc, got banned, got more banned, got the powers that be other there rather miffed, but still kept coming back... lost sympathy from most others involved as well, including Romartus, who had originally advocated for him. He's been pestering Romartus for a few months, now, here and on Uncyclopedia.

Anyhow, I asked Romartus if I should keep reverting Gomphog here, and he said yes, so I have, and... eh.

Gomphog, if you want to change your name, do it right. The first time I was willing to clean it up leave it be, but then you just went back to the other account, leaving behind a rather large mess in the process, so when you felt the need to do it again, making a bigger mess, imagine what that must have looked like to me... if you really want a namechange, like I said, talk to the penguin - he can do it properly, literally change the name of the account, or just sort out some sort of account switch if that is what you actually want to do, but half-arsed, unannounced attempts about which you just change your mind about later are just irritating.

So they don't think you are fit to be an admin, at least not any time soon; why should that mean you have to retire? Stick around, work and learn, help the project - shouldn't matter too terribly what tools you have, anyhow. There's plenty to do without any of the adminny bureaucratical nonsense, after all, and mostly stuff that tends to be a lot less irritating. But the fact that you tried for adminship only meant that they actively went digging for stuff on you - it's putting your records in the open for scrutiny, after all, so of course they would bash them... that's how RfAs go. No need to let it get to you. Take the critiques and move on, perhaps?

Actually, this is the point at which I act all disappointed-like, since we ran a checkuser and apparently you were indeed vandalising... or shall I say, raiding Uncyclopedia while logged out. This is behaviour which is not tolerated in any fashion, and while I am not certain of the current standing, Uncyclopedia and Encyclopedia Dramatica have done reciprocal bans in the past - vandalise Uncyclopedia in the name of ED (or vice versa), and get banned on both wikis. Something to consider, at any rate.

I went to uncyclopedia today, in the intent on looking at some articles. But the thing was, was that I decided to log in, so I entered my password, and it didn't let me in. A lot of pages on Uncyclopedia, probably quite a few here as well, although usually they're not actually used as references, exactly, on either. I know this one perhaps overdoes it a mite, but what the hell, it's an example - footnotes, you know? But it's the same code as Wikipedia uses, though it also has these compleximacated systems about it, and all these weird templates that I don't understand a thing of, but... er... yeah.

I don't know. I don't think I've ever taken part in a successful collaboration, save for that one time I took a sledgehammer to an existing collab on Uncyclopedia and beat it into shape, but it was basically already written at that point. I was just... removing most of it and rewriting the rest. And this was after another fellow or three had already removed a great deal and rewritten a great deal of what remained. o_O

Me, though, sometimes I can come up with ideas, but executing them is another matter entirely. Had an idea for a wanted poster or a lost pet poster a la all them folks 'searching for god', except in this case the god had literally run off or something.
