An error-cat is a cat which calls out the presence of error. Such cats are often enlisted in the great War on Error (not to be confused with the War on Terror, for which cat consultants are rare). Especially military software developers often use error-cats for assistance when chatbots are forbidden, but due to their low cost and ease of use (just let them be near while you work), error-cats are increasingly favored in all kinds of engineering.
