After unexpected budget problems, Alphabet's Google has adopted an unconventional method to raise funds. They are tapping into a funding source only known to have been utilized by one company before: the letters of the alphabet.

The first round of competitive bidding was won by a shady letter based in Spain, Ñ.

Google then granted Ñ the right to obscure their logo beyond recognition.

Critics complain that the move will dilute Google's brand exposure because users won't see "Google" when they go to Google anymore, although this is obviously false because only Google would be crazy enough to do something like this, so users will instead remember a strange user experience that makes them remember the brand more.
