Can you show me on the doll where the fat man touched you? - A Christmas Tale

The Accused (of Lapland)

"M'lord, I'd like to draw your attention to the stains on the red felt trousers taken from the Defendant...." stated the Chief Prosecutor to those huddled within the hushed courthouse. All eyes moved from the large hirsute figure leering from the stand to the evidence-laden article of clothing which the Chief Prosecutor prodded with his bony talon-like fingers.

Up in the gallery someone coughed nervously.

"I must object!" began the oily Defence Lawyer, but a scathing look from the Judge stopped him in his tracks. (Inside he thought that his defendant had received a raw deal, ever since signing that contract with Coca Cola, in the pursuit of commercial success, but as a lawyer he knew it wasn't about truth or falsehood, it was about what he could convince the Jury to let his client get away with).

The Defendant leaned forward in his chair, his red glaring eyes contrasting with the white bushy eyebrows. When he spoke his voice was harsh, but with strange Scandinavian undertones. Sitting beside the Chief Prosecutor the two O'Flannaghan children shivered and turned their eyes away in fear. "Youse lot don't have nothink on me, NOTHINK!"

The Judge banged his gravel, "The Defendant will be silent until questioned."

The End.
