Diet Water was invented by Sapporo Corporation after the realisation that regular water, that humans had been drinking for 2 million+ years, was very high in energy, sugar, and fat. Therefore, due to the need for healthier products, the executives postulated, 'Why not make water healthier?' And so, Diet Water was born!
