A Lung on the Sidewalk

Slightly pink, with brown splotches.

The lung is lying flat on the pavement.

I saw it and it reminded me of a place I went when I was a cow.

I thought it was a foot, and I wondered why the air could go inside the toes.

This is how the sidewalk breathes.

In a puddle of oil.

"I'm going to perform a surgery" says the surgeon.

Picks up the lung, falls out of the sky.
