Chapter One[edit | edit source]

For great justice, Gerald set off for his Lexus, which he had got stuck in a ditch the previous night. This time though, he had the equipment to recover his car - a chain, a shovel, 5p and a week old ham roll. It was early in the morning, 8:30am to be precise, and the birds were singing, the sonks were out and the sun was full of pure black light, so fresh you could taste the nonexistentness of itself. Gerald passed by the special school (opened especially for the local marching band, who were not so bright at all), his favourite lemon tree, and Brad the hobo, who was eating his usual meal consisting of a fresh, tasty lobster with a side of home grown vegetables. This, as you will know, is the norm for a hobo in this district. As the day got stronger and the birds looked through the eyes of the sun from the top of the sky, Gerald came apon his car, which seemed like it had moved a few inches, but Gerald shrugged that thought off and began setting up for the final push. It took till late, the sonks returned to their homes from the blankets of the elderly, no man had seen such a thing before, it was good. As Gerald secured the chain around the front end of his Lexus, he saw a light. A bright, flashing light. Almost regurgitating, basking in its own power. With no more than another flash of dark light, it was there. To be in front of him was gracious. Its gentle nature swaying with the trees and shrubbery in the fresh breeze of the early evening.

Chapter Two[edit | edit source]

As Gerald pointed at the large light, almost breathing, he was mesmerized, as a deer had once been, before the test of time, before the time was there itself for the event, Gerald saw it. It was there, the age old problems, they came to him in a moment of anticipation of what was to come. He was dazed, from the experience, as if it had swept over him like the flags in a breeze. He just could not ignore it, could not go on, so he did what many had done before, he was taken back by its strength, its power, before, like a cat in the night, he shouted, past all the brush and grass, to this object, of which he thought of as powerful, like a diamond, he called. It was not a yell in any language at all, most definitely not. It was of out of this world enthusiasm, about what he had just experienced. It was a cry from a language known to no men, like the symbol of the people. It was powerful, a powerful call. It was to the almighty people of our world, to which he was starved. And, like clockwork, there was nothing. Nothing but black light. Gerald was pleased.

Chapter Three[edit | edit source]

As he woke from his larger than life state, he thought. He thought of things, such as the water of a jewel, which was in vain, as he saw no more. His vision was hardened, from the dark of the light, from all things gone by. There was no end in sight, almost as if it had taken him, into the horizon, from things that were better than others, better than all existence itself, in fact. Gerald resisted, but it was not possible, as his head had already entered the abyss that was open, empty like a glass ornament. Spacious, breathable. It was not as bad as Gerald first would have thought, like eyes sparking in the sunlight. It was there, and it was good.

No more came from it that day, for it was not known, taken by no more than a drop of imbalance, which had not been taken on by any man before, to be new to mankind itself, life was in vain. So sudden, as it were, that Gerald made his realisation that it was not meant to be, like a bird from a wing, like the rotors that turn. It was all as it was.

Chapter Four[edit | edit source]

As Gerald sat there, as he was in deep thought, there was much to be said, like the morning breeze. Calm with his existence, Gerald made his way out, to be heard by all that was there. As he made his way closer, a rush of his thoughts overtook him, like nothing. Like nothing at all.
