A man wearing an American Flag shirt calls Forrest up to the podium

"Tell us a little bit about the war, man." said the American Flag shirt guy.

"Well, there is only one thing I can say, about The War In Vietnam." said Forrest.

"In Vietnam......" said Forrest just as an Army officer unplugs the microphone.

The officer is beaten with his own beatdown stick by a young hippie.

Forrest's mouth is seen moving, yet no words can be heard. The crowd gathered yell out that they cannot hear.

After fiddling around with the sound sytems for a few minutes, a group of hippes finnaly gets the microphone back on.

"...and that's all I have to say about that." Forrest said in his slow Southern accent.

The crowd is silent, as the American Flag shirt guy embraces Forrest and thanks him

"What's your name man?" The American Flag shirt guy questioned.

"Forrest, Forrest Gump." said Forrest.

The American Flag shirt Guy turns around and shoves a fist in the air.

"Forrest Gump!" he says as the crowd cheers.


Forrest is sitting on a park bench and a black lady is sitting next to him.

Forrest rambles on about shoes and he trys to remember his first pair of shoes.

"Momma said they were my magic shoes. They could take me anywhere!" Forrest exclaims.


In Vietnam, Forrest Is Rescuing His Comrades From An Air Strike Zone.

After saving his commanding officer, Lt. Dan, Forrest runs back in.

"Gump! Where do you think you're going?!" Lt. Dan yelled.

"I GOTTA' FIND BUBBA!!!!!" Forrest replies.


Forrest is on his 3 year cross country run when he is bombarded with news reporters asking him why he is running, for what cause, and when will he stop.

Confused, Forrest yells out:"I JUST FELT LIKE RUNNING!"


"Are you stupid or somethin'?" asks Jenny.

"Stupid is as stupid does." Forrest replies.


"Do you think I could fly off this bridge, Forrest" asks Jenny.

"What?" Forrest questions.

"Nevermind."
