Are you man enough to enter the realm?
In Enter The Realm 2, You are the hero destined to destroy Gestafo, once a minor character in the original enter the realm, and his army of dragons. You were returning to your home realm, when suddenly, the three sages, mighty wizards now drained of their power, summoned you to The Realm once again. Weakened by the astral pull of the summoning, you must start anew. Only through a convenient plot switch were you able to keep your Ultra Fun laptop, which allows you to read other languages, view your inventory and spellbook, and do other neat stuff.
Enter the Realm 2 is a free-to-edit project, with a heavy emphasis on cheesy graphics made in MS paint, using ASCII characters to represent beings, including the player (a white at sign). The project, while image-heavy, uses these more than just retina-scalding eye "candy." It also uses them as hints; for example, if you were adventuring in a run-down city, and saw the same mural twice, once in a book about questionable allies and the other in a base of survivors, how would you react?
The game also rewards players for using commands not on the list; this is shown in the usage of magic, or the ability to read books or break impenetrable barriers only if you have codes. Although the emphasis is on puzzles, combat is far from non-existent; with the same godforsaken graphics as normal adventuring, action scenes are well played and reward the player for much the same as everything else.
And if you managed to read everything else, I'll give you a tip; get the pack. I can't tell you where it is, but it's the only way to carry more than three items plus whatever's on hand, as well as safely use and carry contaminated items.
