You use the rest of the water to clean your knife. however you seem to have forgotten you drank all the water. so you stick your knife in a puddle, rolling it in the mud. you then wash it in your spit. it comes out looking grimy and covered in filth.

then you get an idea. you insert the knife into the lock on the first aid kit. with a twist the lock pops open. you may have wasted water on your knife but at least you got that blasted first aid kit open.
