Jason Krueger was a janitor and a serial killer who enjoyed going to summer camp at Elm Street Lake. One day the camp counselors accidentally let him drown, so he came back as a supernatural monster who sought revenge by murdering the children of the counselors with the help of his mother. Many sequels ensued.
