Old Duncc
All ye, gather round! For I will tell ye of the tragedy of Old Duncc!
Capítulo Uno: The Beginning[edit | edit source]
It all started on a dark February morning in Boston. The year was 1987. The hero of our story was named Joel Birbach. John was sitting in his apartment on this morning, putting off getting dressed for as long as he could. See, John had just gotten a new job recently at a fancy shoe store near his home. He liked the job well enough and it payed well, but the real problem with this job was John's boss. Old Mr. Howard, or "Sir", as he preferred to be called, was not the kind of man one could describe as "forgiving". Just the day before, John had been caught giving a discount to an old lady who looked poorer than a millennial fresh out of college. Mr. Howard had noticed this, as he always notices everything, and had said he had wanted to talk to John tomorrow. John had heard rumors about Mr. Howard having ties to the local mafia, and had briefly contemplated running away from the city. "But no", he told himself. "I will face my problems like a man!" John decided that the rumors about ties to the mafia were just that: rumors. Still, he was not looking forward to this meeting.
Capítulo Dos: Escalation[edit | edit source]
John finally had gotten dressed and shaved, and was walking down Correry Street. The sidewalks were crowded and many people bumped into John without so much as a "sorry". Around the intersection onto Fitzgerald Boulevard the mobs of people were so thick that some people were forced to walk on the street. It was on this corridor that John saw a man running down Fitzgerald Boulevard towards him. John tried to move out of the way, but there were too many people pushing him on all sides. The man ran straight at John, pushing pedestrians aside as he moved. He reached John and hit into him so hard that they both were knocked into the street. The traffic was busy at this time of day, and the bus had no time to stop.
Capítulo Tres: End[edit | edit source]
John was buried in a small grave in the cramped King's Church graveyard.
