Ranga [pronouced "rang-aah"] is a term referring to redheads or Gingers. The term is used thoroughly throughout Australia and is used usually in a degrading form. It started from the word Orangutan but then was shortened to what it is today. It is believed Ranga's are their own race. They have red hair, pale skin and freckles. There are two main predominant groups of rangas; the Wrangas and the True Rangas

Types of Rangas:

Wrangas are wannabe rangas. These people tell everyone that they want to be ranga to either please their own desire, or to try and look cool. But the fact is that Wrangas can never be true rangas. Wranga also applies to people with redhair who do not have the heart of a True Ranga. Please refer to these as Wrangas.

To become or be a True Ranga you have to have the following: 1. Ranga pride 2. To be able to say the word Ranga and NOT cringe in fear 3. You have to be cool.

Those are the three basic characteristics of a True Ranga.

Criticism

Many people have views on Rangas. Many Anti Rangas have a view on the future of this race.

One Anti Ranga states that he believes that the race will dry out from the sun as since they are so like vampires, they cannot stand the sun.

.. Please, rangas are fun to tease, but please remember that rangas are naturally feisty, as their hair suggests, so please keep in mind that it is best to observe from a distance.

Difference Between Ranga and Ginger

Rangas are cool, whereas Gingers are not.
