TOR

TOR is the work of the U.S. Government, for everyone. It's the most important thing they ever gave us, especially after the (eventual) repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

HisTORy

(I worked on that pun all day.)

TOR was made in the mid-2000s by government officials as a way to monitor web traffic without anyone noticing them. It was their technology, and theirs only, to be accessed by these people. Their penetration of the dark web, however, was far from complete.

For one thing, people noticed these weird people trying to access their site, and became increasingly paranoid as a result.
