"Had you not anticipated Lex Luther would have chosen your humble watchshop for his bombs countdown timers, and set the things to run abnormally slow, Superman wouldn't have had time to crack open the device in the precious seconds left, have a half hour bash, and then spend all afteroon cutting the clearly labelled defuse wire."
"Actually that was the opposite of what we intended. We're just sadistic little men with waay too much time on our hands, so we were trying to make it run faster, you know, to see if we could blow up Lex before he could leave the buildings. And you mooks all thought we were heroes!" Laughed Manhooten, holding his knees for support. The crowd narrowed their eyes.
