Thin Mints
Thin Mints are a type of girl scout cookie. AND... THEY... ARE... AWESOME!!!
History[edit | edit source]
Thin Mints were first created in 1843, after a female cook at a bakery accidentally mixed the ingredients together (see next section). These cookies weren't too popular until July 8th of 1897, at which time the grand-daughter of the previously-mentioned female cook had joined the Girl Scouts Of America, taking the recipe for Thin Mints with her. By July 9th of 1897; over 45,600 Thin Mints had already been sold.
Ingredients And Instructions[edit | edit source]
You will need a wafer, edible brown dye, chocolate syrup, and liquid peppermint (if the peppermint is artificial, it won't taste as good).
First, apply the dye to the wafer until the wafer is brown. Next, mix together the chocolate and the peppermint. Then, pour the chocolate/peppermint mixture onto the brown wafer. Finally, bake them at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 4 minutes (3 minutes will get you frozen Thin Mints, while 5 minutes will get you charred ones).
By the way, here's one more tip: adding garlic powder to the chocolate/peppermint mixture will make anyone who eats the resulting Thin Mints start breathing fire.
An alternative recipe uses brown paint... the taste tester of this version made this entire website.
