Race to 2012 is a text-adventure created by a user called Steivel !nlgKVCY.GE on 4chan's /b/ board. It is based on the 2012 phenomenon. It quickly became famous for it's abstract game design and multi-player. It was first seen on 14th April, 2011. It is about building your civilisation up and then leaving earth as quickly as possible.

• The game is the very first based on December 21st, 2012.
• It has three difficulties. Easy: Only one way to lose (losing your capital city). Intermediate: Your country can experience and fall to famine, pestilence, and other issues. Realistic: If you die, you lose. Also, other countries will be more aggressive.
• The fastest run-through of the game is 18 minutes 33 seconds.
• It is a text-based game, but is still original.
