The monkey grabs a Bowie knife from your backpack (bet you didn't even know you had a bowie knife in there) and, holding it in his/her/its teeth, climbs rapidly up the ropes which attach the basket to the balloon.

The air is getting very thin, and things are starting to look a little dim. So, you're not quite sure what happens next, but the monkey does something to the balloon, and there's an enormous BANG! Suddenly the balloon seems to be shaped more like a used handkerchief during flu season than its usual pregnant-tennis-ball shape.

The good news: You're no longer rising too fast!

The bad news: You're kind of falling ...
