Afterparty (word)

Afterparty is a word that exists to rhyme with "Don't be stupid, be a smartie".

Creation

In 1998, some guy wrote an angry e-mail to some politician, a member of the United States After Party. The person ended the email with:

don't be stupid, be a smartie
I won't vote for afterparty!

The guy was later shamed in the local newspapers for not typing After Party with a space in between.

Meanings

1. A word that exists to rhyme with "Don't be stupid, be a smartie".
2. A shorter way to say United States After Party.
3. Some druggies also use this word to refer to going to another party after the main party has ended, but this meaning isn't true.
