Inspired by the nightmares of some strange American fellows.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force is an American cartoon secretly funded by the federal government with the aim of subverting the hearts and minds of 17-58 year old males and inculcating a sense of hatred and fear of Republicans. Contrary to popular belief, Republicans and Democrats are but cogs in the wheel of a far greater power, one whose name can not be mentioned. ATHF is one of a host of cartoons, all with the same basic purpose, produced by Williams Street, an Atlanta company. Although they appear to work under the auspices of Cartoon Planet, in fact they are answerable to none but that guy. The one whose name can not be mentioned.

Origins[edit | edit source]

Originally conceived by writers/actors/cosmic psychonauts Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro in 1968 during a Transcendental Meditation session gone awry. The trouble began when the combined psychic energy of 78 meditators levitated every Volvo in the parking lot to 4 feet 20 inches. The then-teenagers noticed something special was happening, and ducked out the back to smoke some salvia divinorum, in order to propel their minds to yet higher dimensions.

After two tokes, Matt said, "Hey, let's make a 15 minute (with commercials) cartoon about fast food and New Jersey." To which Dave replied, "Great idea! A milkshake, an order of fries..." "and a wad of meat... with a few hairs and stuff in it", finished Matt. Over the next few weeks they firmed up the characters and wrote dialog ridiculing conservatives.
