Fgneezhish

An individual Fgneezhish 'Alo Ngnyarizhiesh Fahrnumbkniquvitegnuurgunjzharxeg differs from a human primarily due to a self-evolving process which in deepest time had filed all the many flaws in what can loosely be called personalities into a single, stilletto sharp mind which operates at incalculable (to us) speeds. Comparisons between us have been like unto a mite is to a human. Perhaps mite is too generous. Either way, we, with our minds that are composed of so many different elements and run by a commitee of these elements, are pondorous and nigh incsrutable to the only other intelligent life we knew about to date: the Fgneezhish 'Alo Ngnyarizhiesh Fahrnumbkniquvitegnuurgunjzharxegs.

Those few who have communed with them, myself included, have mostly been rendered dead or insane. I'm pretty sure I'm not quite insane, and lately, I am wondering if maybe I have died after all, and some thread of truth lies in the old myths of Earth.

They had known about us from the beginning, of course. Well, almost the beginning. Of their time. They seem to know a lot of things we don't, and I suspect we don't suspect the half of it.

They did not come in ships, like some of the old scifi stories held. They simply... appeared. One day, at 5:55am Eastern Standard time, a forest ranger somewhere in Maine radioed in, in a shaky voice, that something big had... melted into existence, 5 meters from the NW base of his assigned tower. No, he couldn;t say how big. No, he didn't know what it could be, or what it might be made of, or even what color it was. It was just a big... thing, making the air around it heavy and moist.

Unknown to him, an extremely low pressure area had materialized around the object moments later, and caused the Fire Storm of 2333
