Moonrise Kingdom is a small island nearby Rhode Island. It garnered fame in 1965 due to two kids (a 12 y.o. boy and a 12 y.o. girl) running away to become homeless hippies and to dance to some drugged up psychedelic rock music. Bruce Willis and Edward Norton once lived there, but not Owen Wilson. Simply brilliant. But, plenty of dead bodies have washed up on the shore! Sting didn't have anything to do with it, neither did the Police.
Discovery by Wes Anderson[edit | edit source]
American filmmaker later recovered scraps of history from the "kingdom" in 2012 while making a documentary about the place. And then a skeleton of Bill Murray's dead corpse popped out!

Not a single black or any other race person lives in Moonrise Kingdom. Not because of racism, but rather due to demographics.
