The Society for Telling the Poor You Feel Sorry For Them is a charity organization. The mission of the organization is to inform the impoverished, the hungry, and the homeless everywhere that "the rest of us really do feel sorry for you. I mean, it really does suck for you. Like, a lot." The organization donates millions of I feel Sorry For You notes to the impoverished every year. They also hold banquets in which members eat tremendous amounts of food, while the poor watch. "Our mission statement is quite clear: to make sure everyone in the world feels bad for the less fortunate, without actually having to go near them or do anything," says a Society Brochure. The defining Society meeting takes place every Christmas, when they meet in London, watch videos of the homeless, sigh in pity, then change the channel to watch football games.
