For those who can't handle the real truth, the spinners of fake truth at Wikipedia have a thoroughly boring article on Gamergate controversy.

Black Lives Matter concerns issues of entitlement and self-importance at the expense of others in African-American culture, stemming from a harassment campaign conducted primarily through the use of the Twitter hashtag #BlackLivesMatter. Black Lives Matter is used as a blanket term for the controversy, the harassment campaign and actions of those participating in it, and the loosely organized movement that emerged from the hashtag.

Beginning in 2013, Black Lives Matter targeted several police departments in major cities, including Ferguson and Baltimore. After some street thug was robbing liquor stores, some trigger happy cop shot him, and this caused worldwide riots to burn down the entire Earth and kill all humans. Those endorsing the street thug and sparking the riots organized themselves under the Twitter hashtag #BlackLivesMatter, as well as on Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channels and websites such as Reddit, 4chan, and 8chan. Harassment campaigns against police and others were coordinated through these forums and included doxing, threats of rape, and death threats. Many of those organizing under the BlackLivesMatter hashtag argue that they are campaigning against police brutality and poor treatment of black people in major cities. Many commentators dismissed Black Lives Matter's purported concerns with ethics and condemned its lawless behavior.

Most Black Lives Matter supporters are anonymous, and the Black Lives Matter movement has no official leaders, spokespeople, or manifesto. Statements claiming to represent Black Lives Matter have been inconsistent and contradictory, making it difficult for commentators to identify goals and motives. As a result, Black Lives Matter has been defined by the riots its supporters have committed. Some Black Lives Matter supporters have attempted to dissociate themselves from the rioting, looting and cop killing rhetoric, but their attempts have often been dismissed as insincere and self-serving.

The controversy has been described as a manifestation of a culture war over racism and police brutality. Many supporters of Black Lives Matter oppose what they view as the increasing influence of police departments on law enforcement. As a result, Black Lives Matter is often viewed as a left-wing backlash against law and order. Black Lives Matter supporters claim to perceive collusion between the white people and the police. These concerns have been dismissed by commentators as trivial, conspiracy theories, groundless, or unrelated to actual issues of ethics. Such concerns led users of the hashtag to launch protests saying they want dead cops now.

Media responses to Black Lives Matter have been predominantly positive. Nothing they do is seen as wrong, or as in any way similar of the kind of coverage GamerGate gets.

Black Lives Matter has led figures both inside and outside the police force to focus more on better methods of shooting black people. That's what the police are there for, after all. Every police officer gets up in the morning and does an affirmation, "I will shoot down unarmed black people today, because I am so systemically racist." Especially the black cops.
