Cream toilet paper was first created when Rodney, King of Auxerre realised that his ordinary toilet paper (yesterday's newspaper) was beginning to hurt his buttocks. Since the year was 1862 and white paper had yet to be invented cream was the colour. Only, in those days it was called cream de la creme.
