Eurotium ruber is a fungus that was discovered in St. Louis in the 90's. The name is confusing because there's also a E. ruberum and a E. rubrum.
The most notable thing about it is that a president has it on his face. That's because it's orange. It gets its color from Cadmium. That's why you can't throw it in the trash. It has to be autoclaved instead. It has been reported to produce over five ingredients you can't pronounce, so you shouldn't eat it.
