Forum:A message from the future

From Illogicopedia

Ooooooooh! I come to you all spookily from the future, with a message! (Opens envelope, takes out paper, ahems)

  1. ?pedia left its cushy deal with Wikia over a passing triviality, opting to pay for its own hosting.
  2. The income from advertising wasn't enough to pay for hosting, because there weren't enough visitors, because nobody wants to read streams of nonsense or lackidaisically produced writing.
  3. ?pedia silently closed.

I must go now, for I wish to fly my personal biplane. --I forgot 20:26, 21 Jumbly 2008 (UTC)

Hey, who is this psychic person? Can you tell me this weekend's lottery numbers?
In seriousness (if there is such a thing) the idea of Illogicopedia going independent has been around since cavemen times and even the dinosaurs groaned about Editthis's downtime.
To throw another spanner into the works, Seppy is now having second thoughts about the price of hosting - we're gonna have to pay for it ourselves you know. Advertising just isn't worth it - would probably cover about 0.1% of the monthly hosting cost. So, er, basically the issue is cost. We need the cash, and that's where the lottery numbers might come in handy.
What say we just bombard Wikia and get them to give us the Uncyclopedia skin? Oh, and Illogicopedia will never die! AID EPOC IGOLLI and all zat crap! -- Hindleyak  Converse?blogClick here! 09:24, 22 Jumbly 2008 (UTC)
