Forum:IRC ad/subheader on front page?
So, I have an idea. The IRC has nobody in it, right? Well, let me tell you something...the sort of demographic (read: nerds) that attends this site would love IRC...but, they don't really know it exists. There's a page, and a chatroom header, but this is obviously not enough, as there is virtually nobody in the channel by IRC standards. So, why not have an ad on the front page under the server update on the top that advertises it? It would help this relatively small community be bustling again, and would be the perfect off-topic channel on freenode. I'd like you guys's opinions on this.
