Welcome to the game known as Grids of War, created by Some WHAT!? number two. It is named so because it takes place on a series of grids. Each of these grids is a level. You can fight with weapons you receive along the way. You can never visit the same square twice. The goal is to get to Finish from Start on each one.
Defeating creatures increases your score. The number of points you get is based on how tough the creature was, and how soundly you defeated it. If you go into a square with an enemy, you have to fight it.
You may also find bags of gold along the way. Gold can be used to purchase weapons and protection, to better your odds against unfriendly creatures.
There are also health potions to help you get better if you are wounded.
Some creatures are friendly. They show you the way to things you might want to have. For example, a leprechaun shows you how to get gold.
