Negate the obvious

To negate the obvious is to internalize the principles of Newspeak maintained by George Orwell as a kind of way to focus your mind.
If stating the obvious keeps you from thinking, it doesn't follow that negating the obvious doesn't keep you from thinking. In fact, negating the obvious has been a method of keeping the brain at a manageable size that has been neglected by hoomanes for far too long. At the rate we're going now, we'll be in interstellar space in a few hundred years!
Corrolaries of negating the obvious[edit | edit source]
- Pluto, Pluto, Pluto, and Pluto becomes "Pluto, Pluto, Pluto, nor Pluto"
- Friendship becomes demythologized
- Literally nothing else you can think up
