Sourdough

Sourdough is dough that is bitter about the fact that it is not an interesting type of bread, like Pizza, for instance. The first incidence of sourdough occurred in San Francisco in the mid-1800's when a bakery left the last bucket of dough for plain old bread while the rest was made into bagels and Danishes. This dough that was just plain bread got very angry, or, as the baker's called it, sour, prompting the name.
“Why can't I be a scone or something?!”
The taste of sourdough is about the same as any other bread except for the slight aftertaste of resentment that fills the eater's mouth, causing him or her to recall the last major disappointment he or she had experienced.
