Because there were many things wrong with it:

1. 1. There's little-to-no practical need for a template that gives an article's size.
   2. There's no practical need for a template that converts an article's size into bits, kilobits, and megabytes.
   3. "Too long" is undefined and ambiguous.
   4. We do NOT want to encourage shortening articles as a blanket response to articles that are "too long."
   5. It's poorly written.
   6. You command the reader to contact administrators and bureaucrats for no reason.
   7. You come across as a know-it-all who's making up rules without the authority to do so and without any understanding of how this website works.
