"Well, deputy," said the sheriff, grinning as the crooks were carted off to prison, "It certainly has been a nifty adventure, hasn't it?"
"It certainly has!" said the young deputy, "Slimy Joe won't be robbing any more banks around these parts!"
"That's right," said the sheriff, "We taught the bad-guys a lesson. The West is safe again. Yeee-haww!"
The sheriff and the deputy delightedly accepted the gifts of the grateful townsfolk who had lived under the terror of Slimy Joe for 8 years. Then, after shaking hands with one last old man, the sheriff and the deputy rode off into the sunset together.
