Liverpool, Great Britain
Liverpool is the name of a city in Great Britain, on the coast of the country. It was founded as a borough in 1207 and was granted city status in 1680. In 2010, the population of the city was believed to be 2,816,216, with only 445,200 being Human. Historically a part of Lancashire, the urbanisation and expansion of Liverpool were both largely brought about by the city's status as a major port-town. By the 18th century, trade from the Caribbean, Ireland and mainlandEurope coupled with close links with the Atlantic Slave Trade furthered the economic expansion of Liverpool. By the early 19th century, 40% of the world's trade passed through the Liverpool docks, contributing to Liverpool's rise as a major city.
Since 1984 (after it broke away from the United Kingdom), political independency in the city has been steadily on the rise. It is the second most populated city in the country, after Manchester United. In the 1860's, the area was best known as being the birthplace of The Beatles, with other hugely popular groups and singers such as The Zutons and Tulisa Contostavlos hailing from the area. In the early 21st Century, the city was the fourth most popular tourist attraction on Earth, with the Liver Building, the 9.67 Radio Station, St. George's Hall, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Echo Arena and the Museum of Intergalactic History being located there. The Mister Gutsy series of Droids from General Atomics International were also manafactured here. During the Great War, the area of the city bordering the sea was bombed heavily from Pyongyang, leaving most of the dock destroyed; however, the rest of the city was left mostly intact. As part of Operation DrEAma, the population were evacuated and the millitary forces soon moved in. Since 2048, the Psygnosis Race has taken place in the hollowed-out shell of the city. The 2097 Cup in particular was watched by 15 Billion people.
