Gloriously Stunning - the Colonial Republic of West Xylophone - Since 1178, We've been watching you!
West Xylophone is the former name for the Republic of Marimba. With over 8 million inhabitants, most of which are Malaysians or illegal winemakers (or both), it's a land that formed completely naturally, with little to no evidence of land reclamation, in the shape of an 8-keyed xylophone. The capital is located at San Claviero de las Musicas, a Spanish-speaking independent city-state.
Its existence has in fact been a secret for thousands of years, but when They Might Be Giants, touring alongside the B52's and Simple Minds, came across it in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. In fact, they all went blind shortly after, as a temporary measure for the West Xylophonese government to cut the power to their eyes (yes, I know, that's not possible).
Where is it?[edit | edit source]
