What's the difference between a rollback and a phantom, and why? Special:ListGroupRights seems to think there are two groups called phantom, one of which is also called rollback (Special:ListUsers/rollback) and the other of which isn't (Special:ListUsers/phantom). - I was under the impression that there wasn't a difference between rollbackers and phantoms. The whole point of being a phantom is that you can preform rollbacks. --Mars Cadbury (talk) 00:39, 12 Ditzimber 2013 (UTC)
- That's what I thought too, but ListGroupRights lists two 'phantom' groups, one of which links to Illogicopedia:Rollback and can upload files by url (but has no other special rights listed) and the other of which links to Illogicopedia:Phantom (which redirects here) and is listed as having what you'd expect a rollbacker to have. I seem to remember something about giving rollbackers the right to upload files by url, and if that was the goal here it doesn't seem to have worked right. ❦ Flyingcat (meow?) 00:46, 12 Ditzimber 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, we talked about this awhile back. There are actually two phantom groups: "phantoms" who can preform rollbacks and "Phantoms" which apparently are phantoms in name only. I don't exactly remember why this is the way it is though. --Mars Cadbury (talk) 01:44, 12 Ditzimber 2013 (UTC)

- I think you can do it yourself, Mars Cadbury. Try looking at this page and see if you see anything. Special:Listgrouprights says plain admins can add and remove rollback, so you should be able to. ❦ Flyingcat (meow?) 02:48, 13 Ditzimber 2013 (UTC)
