Hindleyite I appreciate your nomination. But I speak for an entire demographic when I say that this article as a feature would not only reach the hearts of those who care, but also do a great number on raising awareness for this horrifying mental disease that I and millions of others around the country suffer from on a daily basis. Sometimes twice a day.
Manic depression has been prevalent in polar bears since the late 70's, when Hanna Barbera failed to receive a contract renewing Yogi Bear for a new season. Since this time, bears have had many difficulties keeping themselves occupied during countless reruns of the same episodes they could recite line-for-line. Thus, bear suicides have been up, especially in zoos. So for the debt of gratitude I owe the bears for many years of wonder and entertainment, I think it would be great to pay some of that back by having a feature posted here at this website.
