A Bible belt is a special belt worn by functionaries serving in the main type of American political congregation. Worn as a belt, it is specially designed to allow attaching, carrying, and detaching small bibles, which these functionaries do in other to share them among the gathered. It often also includes a microphone, attached to a tongue-shaped extension which can be brought out, extended, and either used by the belt carrier or passed to another person in the congregation. The act of talking to and through such microphones is commonly referred to as speaking in tongues. American legislative text in large part consists of transcriptions of tongue speak.

The Bible belt is a design variation on the ammo belt worn by the President of the United States. While the pen is said to be mightier than the sword, the Bible and the machine gun are said to be about equal, and this is also enshrined in the United States system of governance so as to maintain a balance of power, and make democracy more stable and durable.
