From Illogicopedia

MrMetalFLower raised a good point in the admin voting page - the ratio of admins to users. When I think about it - illogicopedia should be one of main wikis - it accepts pretty much anything as long as its clean and its got a nice community feel yet it has like quite a few less users than other wikis. It's still great with the members we've already got but I was wondering if there was something big we could do to advertise oursleves and gain the quantity of users we should have? Keep up the hard work everyone! --Testostereich(ballsack) 16:03, 26 Serpeniver 2007 (UTC)

If you browse recent changes we are actually getting more edits per day than ever and in the last week I'm sure I've seen at least 3 new users, so ?pedia is growing. We got to start somewhere... I mean, Uncyclopedia was once like us - small community livin' it larrrge.
BUT I hear what you say about advertising gimmicks. I've been thinking about this for a while, in fact since SP mentioned he wrote the site's name on the back of a dusty truck. There's the banners for web forums and sites, and these prototypes for random cards/flyers I could develop. If we had more of a 'real life' presence that's , what, at least 13 more people we could reach...
Anyways, one idea would be to run a competition. Whoever can get the best promotional gimmick and photograph it would win a piece of pie. Or something. For example, having the site promoted on a billboard (well, maybe that's aiming too high), or a local news stand or something. -- Hindleyak  Converse?blogClick here! 18:49, 26 Serpeniver 2007 (UTC)
I always thought we should amend the "We are not funny" bit, cos frankly, we are. We should word it better to say we are funny but it's not compulsory. Saying that Uncy isn't totally funny - it's a few gems sparkling in a sea of mediocre humourness. Anyway I'll try and advertise illogicopedia any way I'll can - maybe use the banners on forums that I haven't visited in years... --Testostereich(ballsack) 20:00, 26 Serpeniver 2007 (UTC)
