Just thought I'd create a thread to see how things develop as the Wikia Illogicopedia dies. Recently, Illogicopedia.org made it into the top six million (yes, the top six million) sites in terms of traffic according to Alexa.com. I suggest this is something to do with the move to independent servers: previously we were unranked because of being hosted by Wikia. In other words, they were leeching our traffic :p
However, Wikia are still winning the Google Rank battle. Illogicopedia.wikia comes as result #1 whilst illogicopedia.org rates as #2 - this is an improvement on last week, though, when we weren't even on the front page. On Yahoo, we're a bit further down, below even the Editthis wiki at the moment; I should think that, as time goes by, we should work our way up there. I read somewhere that one of the other Wikia departers (can't remember who) actually got a higher Google rank on their new wiki in next to no time so maybe it'll be quicker than we think. - You're looking at an average over the last three months. Look at the figures for the last week or so (ie: after the move) and Illogicopedia.org is roughly the one millionth most-viewed site. --Carlb 16:45, 18 Novelniver 2008 (UTC)
