IllogiGames:The Rain of Dead Cats/Guidelines
Here are the guidelines for editing The Rain of Dead Cats.
Sensible Section |
Keep up good continuity[edit | edit source]
While you may add random silliness, please do not add flaring inconsistencies. This is meant to be silly, not satirical. Check other parts of the game to check if the thing you add doesn't contradict anything else in the game.
Be fairly light on the references to popular culture[edit | edit source]
Just because you've heard of it doesn't mean the player has.
Try to only have three options per page[edit | edit source]
Just something about the game.
- I (Snarglefoop (talk)) am relaxing this a bit in the parts where I'm extending the game, to the following:
- No more than two dead ends per room, because dead ends get tedious fast. If there are more than three options, there must be more than one 'success' path out of the room.
Avoid long paths that lead to dead ends.[edit | edit source]
If you're alive there should be a path forward.
If you pick an option and you don't immediately die, there should be at least one option that doesn't kill you. You should not be able to go, say, 5 steps down a path only to find nothing but dead ends -- that's no fun. Capesh? (Snarglefoop (talk), who loves games like this)
Be fairly light on the Uncyclopedia in-jokes[edit | edit source]
You may add the occasional one, but don't fill the game with them.
It must always be raining dead cats outside[edit | edit source]
Try to make use of this.
Add {{trdc}} to every page![edit | edit source]
This is very easy to forget. It's basically a shorter way of adding [[Category:The Rain of Dead Cats]]
