The Contrarian Party is against everything that everybody tends to be for, and vice versa, but not too much.

• If a thing be supported by 75%-100% of the world, we shall be for it.
• If a thing be supported by 50%-74% of the world, we shall oppose it, to check the excesses of the people.
• If a thing be supported by 25%-49% of the world, we shall support it, to remedy the momentary loss of a good and unconsidered idea.
• If a thing be supported by 0%-24% of the world, we shall fight it.
