French Foreign Legionnaires being silly in Paris. "It's DeGaulles birthday, you know?" said the one on the right.

Silliness has been a proud tradition of the French Foreign Legion since its inception. Commissioned officers in particular enjoy this tradition, because they are required to dress in costumes based on the legendary war hero Mr Potatohead.
