Theodore ‘Teddy’ Anthony McCuddles was born 18th February 1981.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Early years[edit | edit source]
His parents Quentin McCuddles and Maria Borg met and fell in love while working as acrobats in a small traveling circus. He grew up in the circus, touring around Europe, where he was affectionately nicknamed ‘Teddy’ by his surrogate circus family due to his teddy-bear-like appearance. In 1986 when Teddy was 5 he unlocked the cage to one of the circus’ performing bears. It is believed he just wanted to play with it, but unfortunately the bear went on to maul 2 clowns to death and had to be put down. His parents felt it best to send him to live with his grandparents so the youngest McCuddles packed his bags and said goodbye to the circus and headed for Scotland to his family’s ancestral home. There he was raised by his grandparents and learned of the rich family history of the McCuddles name.
High school[edit | edit source]
At the age of ten Teddy moved to Australia with his grandparents and began school, where he quickly became popular with his female classmates and teachers due to his thick accent and handsome teddy-bear-like features, along with a fondness for hugging people for no apparent reason. This lead to contempt from other males, and as a result Teddy was subject to much abuse in the form of name-calling and beatings. This, however, did not discourage his ever-sunny disposition.
Adult years[edit | edit source]
After he completed a degree in Information Technology at MIT, he started using the name Anthony Borg, a combination of his middle name and mother’s maiden name, as he found it difficult to be taken seriously when applying for jobs under the name "Teddy McCuddles". He only uses this name in relation to his employment, and much prefers his original moniker in all other aspect of his life.
Musical career[edit | edit source]
McCuddles is a keen musician with a natural guitar playing ability. He has been involved in several bands to date, the first being "Drowning in December". He enjoyed moderate success, building up a loyal following and becoming renown for his somber yet uplifting lyrics. He is currently touring.
