The Multiverse theory refers to the solid fact there are multiple versions of the verse, as opposed to the universe theory, which posits there is a single verse. They could, however, reside in the same space physically. Sort of. But it is a different plane of existence, perhaps?

Why anyone would theorize about poetry, I have no idea.
